Shri Gaur Purnima

Shri Gaura-purnima is the most auspicious appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Devotees on this observes fast till dusk. At evening Mahabhishek of Lord Gauranga is performed followed by fast prasadam.

“Let us glorify the boundless merciful Supreme Lord of gods, the prince of Vraja.  To taste the intoxicating sweet waves of the nectar of transcendental love for Krishna as well as to give that nectar to others, He has now appeared in the transcendental abode of Navadvipa as Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu"

“O most munificent incarnation! You are Krishna Himself appearing as Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. You have assumed the golden color of Srimati Radharani, and You are widely distributing pure love of Krishna. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You”
